Meet Tony
22 years in sales training - there’s bound to be a book in it!
Tony Moyle graduated in Chemistry from Exeter University before a chance meeting at an assessment day led him on a career in sales development. Mercuri International was one of the firms present and the very next day he received a call inviting him to an interview. In 1999 he started his career selling open courses for Mercuri’s Business School before moving to a consultant role two years later at the age of 25. At the time he was the youngest consultant to achieve standard performance in the company’s forty year history.
The company had a zero marketing budget so all of Tony’s customers were won by proactive sales activities and he did his fair share of cold calling. He grew his customer base in the Healthcare, Logistics, Manufacturing. Packaging, and Finance sectors. In 2008, after leading Mercuri’s Analytical Tool division he decided he needed a new challenge.
He wrote a book and became a stay at home husband while considering his next move. In 2010, at the height of the financial crisis, he launched In-Sell as a boutique consultancy that focused on client outcomes rather than focusing on days billed. Ten years later the business is constantly innovating to help sales people sell more and support leaders to learn valuable short cuts.
To date, he’s personally sold more than £7 million of consultancy and development projects and still runs the vast majority of the projects he wins.
